this is a really good work. the lighting gives a forlorn and almost lost energy while also making it look like an alley or the doorway of a city apartment, with the darker interior and the bright neon in the distance, the blurred-ness in conjunction to that communicates a distancing or separation from the surroundings. even the little blockyness in the lighting itself is not only stylistic and memorable, but gives off a business-like uniformity through over simplified lighting while also providing ample and sufficient depth. it is tidy, yet well worn. it also gives off a painterly, or life is strange (the game) vibe to it, or the blockyness of compression when you enlarge a small picture. The lineart works well with all of the above, but does have some scribbley/sketchy bits to it. looking closer at it, (besides the knee the knee kinda bugs me) the intense variety yet also thorough consistency of the lines is absolutely impeccable and not only works alongside the lighting to add depth and detail and good angles, but like... it feels like the lines and contrast have a physical presence, as if the arm, or the sleeves (in particular) are actually stylized 3d models. (maybe squinting or at a distance). overall really nice work, i dont know why i felt compelled to write this other than it just *stuck out*
